#BRIDGES -THE BENEFIT OF A CONSTRUCTABLE STEEL SCREW PILE

Some of benefits of screw piling lie in the "contructability" aspects; this relates to the plant we typically use, and material the screw pile is made of. These benefits could of great value to people installing small, medium and large road bridges, and big pipe bridges.

WHY?

1) REACH: Our excavators can reach upwards 12m, but also outwards (!!!) to install piles. We can easily reach outwards to install piles 6m-7m from the front of excavator tracks. This is beneficial if the piling platform is unstable and you need to stand further back. Or perhaps install a pile in river/stream bed, without having to get the drilling rig in there too.

2) PERMANENT CASING: #Screwpiles are made of steel pipe that is effectively like a permanent casing, coming in lengths up to 12m. This helps ensure:
a) THERE IS NO SPOIL - so no sediment gets into the watercourse
b) THERE IS NO TREMMIE POURING: so you don't have to worry about grout/cement killing eels and fish, etc.
c) PILE TO COLUMN: Because the casing can simply be extended out of the ground, there is no pile-to-column joint (and all of the preparation required). Quick, clean and easy!

3) SPEED: Screw pile installation is fast and easy onsite, which can make the planning fast and easy in the office too.
